  1. My wife and I love your flowers and other themes! We found your blog using "Bob Mask" in a Google search. Have known Bob personally since high school days, 1961-65, in Madison, Wisconsin. Regrettably, Bob died on 28 April 2020 in Santa Barbara, CA, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. The link to his Obituary is: https://www.independent.com/obits/2020/05/04/robert-mask/

Am personally interested if you were one of his art students in Santa Barbara at some point? Or, did you see his works via his original web site? Your blog of Oct 2012 is very interesting. It shows four colorful paintings by Bob that I had not seen previously, on his web site before he was admitted to a Santa Barbara nursing home in late 2017, again because of Parkinson’s symptomology. Have written a personal 3-page Memoir tribute to Bob and sent it to our surviving alumni. Will send a copy to your gmail address. << Leon >>

  2. Hello Leon, thank you for the message and the 3 page memorial text about Bob. I have became acquainted with Bob over the internet in the year 2010. I have found his colorful work on the internet (it were paintings from Bob Masks family album). You also did see these paintings on my blog post from 2012. I myself did write a message to Bob and that's how we became acquainted. I was never in the USA. I am living in Europe. From 2010 to 2015 we did communicate very often with Bob, he consulted me and gave me many tips. I became better as an painter thanks to him, he was my teacher. He did write me greetings at Christmas also he did send me his photos and drawings. I also did send him greetings and few packages to Santa Barbara. We did communicate very friendly. I am very sorry for his illness and unfortunate passing. I will write in my blog a short reminiscence about Bob Mask and will post some of his photos. Vilma
